One secure place to store and share the information that matters most.

Encrypted end to end, incase enables you and your loved ones to securely organize and access documents, contacts, and personal details – to navigate all of life’s moments, big and small.

Easy to update, built to share, and there the moment it matters.

Why we built incase

Your system works. Until someone else needs it.

We all have a system for keeping track of important information. Maybe it’s a filing cabinet, notes on your phone, a shared drive, a safe, your memory, or a combination of the above.

It works until someone else needs to use it. And then you realize your system was built only for you.

incase gives you one secure place to organize, update, and share information with your people – so it’s there when they need it, not just when you do.

The stories below are three of those moments that inspired incase.

What is a Case

Everything that matters to one person, in one private place.

A Case is a secure digital briefcase that belongs to one person. Inside are nine folders that organize the key areas of that person’s life, from health and finances to pets and keepsakes.

Let’s use Eve as an example. Eve’s Case organizes everything important about her and to her: her doctors, her documents, her dog’s feeding schedule. It’s completely private until Eve decides to share it. She can share her whole Case with her spouse or her sister, or just the folders she chooses. It’s always up to Eve.

Built to share

Build a Case for you and for the people you love.

On her dashboard, Eve sees her own Case, and she can create Cases for other people in her life. She creates one for her mom. Eve can fill it in herself (her mom’s doctors, her insurance, where her will is kept), or invite her mom to build it directly. Either way, her mom’s Case lives on Eve’s dashboard alongside her own.

When it’s ready, Eve shares her mom’s Case with her sister, and chooses exactly what her sister can see and do. Now both of them have everything they need to take care of their mom: organized, accessible, and there the moment they need it.

Her sister pays nothing for any of this. Everyone Eve invites sets up a free account, however many that turns out to be. Creating a Case is the only thing that ever costs money.

See how sharing works

How it works

Start yours, share it, build the next.

Start your own

We'll guide you through the essentials: contact details, health information, important documents. It only takes a few minutes to start, and everything saves as you go.

Share it

Choose who can see what. Share your whole Case or specific folders, so the right people have what they need, just in case they ever need it. Sharing is free, with as many people as you want.

Build one for your loved ones

Once yours is built, create Cases for the people who matter most. Build it together, hand it over when they're ready, or let them manage it on their own.

What people say

From real people who’ve done this for their family.

Every quote is from someone who built their Case, in their own words. No stock photos, no paid reviews. We keep their faces out of it, because their privacy is exactly what incase protects.

“I just went through your onboarding. It was a manageable bite that left me satisfied with task completion but mildly concerned about the location of our will and whether Jenny actually has a copy! The site created an anxious feeling, which quickly helped me realize the value of the service. I am excited to have one place for all of this information - and to be able to share it with my wife.”
Andy B. Husband, dad
“I am 82 and have recently lost several of my women friends. I feel an urgency to share stories and information about things in my life. Incase has provided me a safe and easy place to do this in Keepsakes. I am enjoying filling out this section so I can share it with my grandchildren. I know my memories and special heirlooms will be shared for generations to come.”
Donna H. Wife, mother, grandparent
“As me and my husband's parents aged, we struggled with where basic information (meds, appointments, friend's contact) as well as important legal documentation was located. As we age, it is good to know our kids have important and SECURE info if anything should happen to us as we live our best empty nesting lives.”
Margo B. Wife, mother
“I was packing up my house after 15 years and started finding things that I did not know what to do with. One was my grandmother's handwritten “jam bar” recipe. I looked at it and thought what if I lose this in the move. I loaded it into the Keepsakes folder of my Case and shared it with my daughters. It will never be lost now!”

Who we are

Created by someone who needed it.

In January, my Dad handed me a stapled set of papers. It was a thoughtful list, exactly who I should call and what I should do if something happened to him or my mom. I was so grateful to have it in my hands. And immediately nervous that I would misplace it or that I wouldn’t have it with me when I actually needed it.

At the same time, I was trying to figure out how to transfer everything I had stored in my head about my daughter, to her. Our family health history, her documents, the things she’d need when she left home.

I wanted one safe, organized, and accessible place for all my stuff. I worked with some really smart friends to help shape the idea. And after lots of searching, found an experienced and wickedly talented builder.

Together, we have built incase. I hope you find it as helpful as I do!
